Loving Andrew Holder's hotel series... the standard in New York was still under construction last May when I was there. Its such a great idea to have it straddling the highline just a hop and a skip and your in what will be a lovely greenway. And although stylistically I'm not a fan of the Chateau... it has a special place in my heart.

I was at the gym for a run the other day and picked up a local 7 x 7 that someone left behind and was pleasantly surprised to find this talented gem of a Dane lives right here in my city. These are my kind of wardrobe staples with a lovely romantic twist, and of course the limited color palette and muted grays and blues had me at hello.
Can't wait until her shop is up.
I'm glad my succulent is happy but I'm not so sure I like the display of happiness. Why oh why did it have to grow a very phallic appendature?

More bicycle lanes and racks for sf as early as July. Why they needed an expensive study for this is beyond me. Its just common sense that if you make it safer for bicyclists more will ride (i.e. less cars) and umm less traffic. No ifs ands or buts about it. naahh don't even try to argue with me.

Falls under the why didn't I think of that category. Loves!

Of course, I had to bring these two talents up to the client as well. I knew these fixtures fell well out of the budget but who can resist sharing dreamy work like this. And more importantly dreaming in the first place.
The first three fixtures are by the talented David Wiseman. The last two by Sarah Cihat. (I apologize for the image quality on the last two but I couldn't find any other images to replace these.)

Searching for light fixtures for a space always seems to be the most trying..... mostly because there are so so many horrible ones... and it feels like the one thing people always seem to get wrong. Then after taking into consideration concept, look, feel, fire rating (yes fire rating) etc all the things that will make it look like it belongs in the space you are left with a very small pool to choose from indeed. Here are some I've gathered for a project I can't share with you just yet.
From the Top the ever talented Eva Menz, Minaret by Niche Modern, Aloe by Jeremy Cole, and the last three are by Ochre.
Oh Maira how do I love thee?
Would you like to come to San Francisco and go on a walking tour with me?
