After reading a somewhat depressing story in Dwell with the above intriguing illustration. I had to know the illustrator. After coming upon his site I was immediately charmed by his maps.
Normally I like to give the love to the ladies but this bloke caught my eye.
And the double happiness cigarettes I had to add for my friend Carol brought me back a pack. The name double happiness on a pack of cigarettes is just so absurd and flawless at the same time.

This photo is happiness to me. I know I found the photographer on flickr but now I can't remember where. Does anyone know who she is?
Update its by Lori Andrews the 10¢ designer on Flickr.... thanks Anon.

She never ceases to amaze. Stella had Patrick Blanc design the stage set for her show. Not only is he the most amazing landscape designer and a true inspiration. (So she already gets huge points for knowing who he is) but the 30-foot-high wall of 2,000 plants was Donated to the city of Boulogne, France (outside Paris), and relocated in a low-income housing project maintained by Espaces, a nonprofit organization.
There she goes again always leading by example. The image is via NYmag. I've always thought it would be quite magical to design the stage set for a show.

All I can say is whoa. I'm not sure if this is thrilling or frightening. Dinner in the sky. is it for you?
